In September 2004, ViaCell entered into an agreement with Galileo Research Laboratories under which we received exclusive rights to a US patent pertaining to cryopreservation of human oocytes, which Galileo Research Laboratories has developed. ViaCell has agreed to develop a product or products using this licensed technology, and upon commercialization will owe Galileo Laboratories royalties on the sales resulting both from the cryopreservation procedure and the storage of cryopreserved oocytes.
